By the looks of things, this will be my last physiology "quick links" post for this week. That means that I might have to write original content in my next post! What a pity.

Describe the dynamics of the peripheral circulation

tl;dr- when we're being chased by a tiger, we don't really need our kidneys that much, but we do need our skeletal muscle, so the relative amounts of blood flow to each organ are adjusted accordingly.
